Purpose in Life

Reading Psalm 96 on our nation's Independence Day proved to be rather eye opening for me. Perhaps if followers of Christ were to follow this edict, we would live less confused and more at peace in the providence in which our God has placed us... and more at peace with God.

I know I don't want to be like the Israelites in the wilderness whom God spoke about in verses 7-11, "...Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah... For forty years I loathed that generation and said, "They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways." Therefore I swore in my wrath, "They shall not enter my rest."

What do you think? Shall we sing to the Lord and bless his name? Shall we tell of his salvation from day to day? If so, what are some ways in which we can do this?

  1. Oh, yes! Let's! I hope we are doing that "day by day" in the way we respond to our circumstances and challenges.

    1. Excellent, Kathy! It's not always easy to respond to our circumstances correctly, is it?
